Construction of the castle
Construction of the castle has begun during the 13th century by the Lords of Cardaillac.
It was partly refurbished ; the guided tour gives access to the covered way from where you can discover the wooden structure and architecture of the roofs.
You can also look at the remaining medieval paintings, and other specific elements dated from the 17th century: painted ceiling" à la française", old style parquet, mural painting ...

Ce château classé Monument Historique, fut édifié à partir du XIIIème siècle par les seigneurs de Cardaillac.
Il est partiellement restauré; la visite guidée permet d'accéder au chemin de ronde et ainsi d'apprécier l'architecture des toitures.
On peut aussi observer des restes de décors médiévaux et des éléments du XVIIème siècle : plafond peint à la française, parquet et grisailles...
